Q: Who is your ideal customer?

Nick: “As a dreamer, my ideal customer includes companies, law firms, and other enterprises that focus on understanding the risks tied to their business relationships. When evaluating third parties—whether suppliers, clients, or other partners—it’s essential to ensure alignment with your brand, values, and any regulatory requirements. What Xapien aims to do is equip our clients with insights into what the world knows about a person or organisation before entering into a relationship. It’s about providing clarity and awareness of any potential risks.”

Q: Who are the legal tech winners of tomorrow, and why?

Nick: “That’s a great question. With the current focus on generative AI, it’s clear that companies effectively leveraging AI will be the key disruptors. However, it’s crucial to distinguish between those who genuinely integrate AI into their solutions and those simply ‘AI-washing’—applying the term for the sake of buzz. The winners will be the firms that don’t just add AI to the mix, but deeply embed it to meaningfully enhance business operations. So, the real challenge for buyers today is to assess whether an AI solution truly lives up to its promise or is just riding the hype wave.”
